Understanding Competition in the Wireless World

The wireless space, according to former interim CTO at CenturyLink Dennis Huber, has reached a place of maturity, ushering in a new set of challenges. While technology will continue to change and improve, wireless networks must be ever evolving as they constantly seek to maintain or earn market share. Huber also argues that despite the pervasiveness of the wireless sector, wireline networks continue to play a significant role due to their ability to handle demand. Huber sits down with GLG to discuss the U.S. wireless carrier market, the impact of wireline networks, and more.

Dennis Huber served as interim CTO at CenturyLink from 2012 to 2014. Prior to this role, he was Executive Vice President of Network and Product Development at CenturyLink. Huber joined Sprint in 1987, where he gained experience in product development, network operations, and IT. He went on to hold senior executive positions at Embarq, overseeing network, IT, product development, and strategy, as well as managing network and IT operations at Sprint PCS.

Huber currently works as a telecommunications consultant at MJH Consulting. He is also a board member of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City and EyeVerify, and serves on the Advisory Board of Cartesian. Huber earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from Rockhurst University with majors in management and marketing, and an MBA from Rockhurst University.
