GLG Supports First-Ever Business for Social Good Outstanding Award in Hong Kong

On Tuesday, November 7, 2017, GLG Head of Asia-Pacific and Managing Director Evan Auyang spoke at the presentation of the Business for Social Good Outstanding Award at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The evening was officiated by Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The Business for Social Good Outstanding Award, the first of its kind in Hong Kong, recognizes for-profit businesses demonstrating leadership in creating social and environmental benefits. The Award is organized by the Our Hong Kong Foundation, under the leadership of the Foundation’s Business for Social Good initiative and with the support of its strategic partners including GLG, McKinsey & Company, and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.

On behalf of GLG, Auyang was involved in creating the Award, offering strategic advice, and selecting the winners. “The BSG Award is a very meaningful initiative to identify and celebrate companies that live by the principles of doing well by doing good,” said Auyang. “I am proud that GLG is asked to be one of the champions in creating this Award with Our Hong Kong Foundation, which comprises the most prominent corporate and non-corporate leaders.”

The top prize went to D2 Place and the other award-winning organizations were Lee Kum KeeTowngas, and Fimmick.
